Live event & wedding paintings

No! You don’t have to pose for a long time. The important thing is that you enjoy your day!
Before the start of the event we can arrange a little photoshoot to get the right reference image of you and your partner (if it's a wedding painting), or those people who should be depicted as the main characters on the painting. We'll discuss all the details in advance.
Also, I will take photos and videos at the chosen moments of the day. The painting is mostly painted from life but I use photos as reference material as the scene shifts.

Yes, of course! Please communicate openly and honestly with me as I need to know what's important to you, the moment you want to focus on, what people you want in the painting or what angles you don't want to be highlighted, whether or not you have a specific composition in mind - so you'll end up with a painting you love. I will send you a brief form to give me a better idea of what you want. We can also discuss your vision during a video call prior to your event. I may make recommendations based on your venue, canvas size and overall wedding theme. Final painting details are usually documented via email to ensure everyone is on the same page with expectations.

Usually I paint with high quality acrylics on pre-stretched canvas live at the events. Acrylic dries quickly and has no odour. You will be able to take the painting with you at the end of the event.
Canvas sizes may vary starting from 16″x20″ (40x50 cm), and custom sizes are available. Canvases are gallery wrapped (the sides are thicker, covered in canvas, staple free). I will paint the edges so you'll be able to hang the painting unframed if you wish.

I provide everything I need to paint. I need access to an electrical outlet to plug in my devices, and a shelter from bad weather if I am outside. I also need an artist's space of approximately 3m x 3m and a clear line of sight, free from things like DJ speakers or architectural elements, and for your guests to be able to see my work as well.

It depends on the size and the complexity of the painting, but it can take between four to ten hours for a live wedding or other event painting to be completed. This time frame doesn't include setup and cleanup.
